Nirvana fans and music lovers have a rare opportunity to own an iconic piece of music history. The Royal College of Music (RCM) has launched a special prize draw to win Kurt Cobain’s guitar plectrum, used during the band’s legendary 1993 MTV Unplugged performance.

Kurt Cobain’s legendary Martin D-18E, played during Nirvana’s iconic MTV Unplugged performance, will be displayed in the UK for the first time as part of Kurt Cobain Unplugged at the Royal College of Music (RCM) Museum, running from 3 June to 18 November 2025.
