Payment of other charges
The RCM online payment portal can also be used to pay other fees such as reassessment fees, deferred assessment fees or string instrument loan fees. These fees must be paid in full. Part-payment or payment by instalment is not permitted.
You will have been notified if you are required to pay any of these charges.

Penalties for late payments & non-payment
If you pay late, you may have to pay an additional charge of £50 (on each occasion).
Late payers will have their access to Asimut, the RCM’s practice room booking system, suspended.
If you have not paid your fees by Monday 28 October 2024, you may be suspended.
If you are in debt to the RCM (tuition fees, reassessment or deferred assessment charges), you will not receive end-of-year results, transcript or a certificate. Those with debt over £1,000 will not normally have their results considered by the Board of Examiners and will not be able to attend graduation.
Foreign nationals wanting to open a UK bank account
Before allowing overseas students to open a bank account, most UK banks require a letter from the RCM confirming registration. Registered students can request a letter by completing the form on learn.rcm. Once requested, your electronic letter will be emailed to you.
We receive a very high volume of requests during the first few weeks of term, so please allow at least five working days for your request to be processed.
Please note we are unable to confirm registration for new students until the new student check-in process is completed.
Enquiries
If you have any enquiries about fee payment, please contact our Student Finance team. Please be aware that this is a busy time of the year so you may not receive a response immediately. We will try to get back to you within three to five working days.
