Sivan Magen, internationally celebrated harpist, visits the Royal College of Music for a masterclass that promises deep insight and artistry.
Born in Jerusalem, Sivan studied at the Paris Conservatoire and Juilliard. Praised by The New York Times for his ‘brilliant sound and remarkable technical acumen’ that break harp stereotypes, he explores a broad repertoire, from classical works to bold contemporary commissions and original arrangements.
He has performed worldwide as a soloist and is a founding member of the Israeli Chamber Project and the trio Tre Voci. In addition to his performing career, Sivan is deeply committed to teaching: since 2023 he has been Professor of Harp at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin.
