The Royal College of Music is honoured to welcome Pedro Díaz, the celebrated cor anglais player from the Metropolitan Opera, to deliver an inspiring masterclass.
A native of Puerto Rico, Pedro trained at the Escuela Libre de Música before building an international orchestral career, including posts with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, the Natal Philharmonic, and the Filarmónica Jalisco. He has also appeared as soloist worldwide - at festivals such as Spoleto and IDRS - and given masterclasses at institutions including Juilliard and the Manhattan School of Music.
Pedro is known for his scholarly work on the historic Donizetti Concertino for English Horn: he discovered the original orchestral parts in Bologna and has published them in a critical edition, alongside his own recorded performance.
