Royal College of Music named top institution for performing arts in the UK and Europe

The Royal College of Music (RCM) has been named the top institution for Performing Arts in the United Kingdom for the sixth consecutive year in the prestigious 2021 QS World University Rankings by subject.

The RCM was placed first across UK institutions for the sixth year in succession and top in Europe for the second year running, showcasing the strength and quality of teaching and research at the College. The RCM’s academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations and the productivity and impact of published works were all measured.

RCM was also ranked top UK conservatoire for music in Complete University Guide Arts, Drama and Music League Table 2021 and received the highest score (93%) across UK music conservatoires for resources available that support student learning.
