Tim Evans-Jones

Tim Evans-Jones has sung major roles with many of the British companies, with tours to the USA, Europe and the Far East. These include Tamino The Magic Flute, Don Ottavio Don Giovanni, Fenton Falstaff, Learte Hamlet, Werther Werther and Rinnucio Gianni Schicchi. He has been seen as Alfredo La Traviata in France and Portugal, and throughout the UK as José Carmen and Pinkerton Madam Butterfly. He is much in demand on the concert platform, returning to Ireland to sing popular tenor arias and duets in the National Concert Hall, Dublin and appearing as Strozzi Caterina Cornaro with Richard Bonynge in the Royal Festival Hall. Engagements include Alfredo and Rodolfo at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Duke of Mantua Rigoletto, Cavaradossi Tosca on the Isle of Man, Fenton Falstaff and Danilo The Merry Widow with Opera Holland Park, Rodolfo La Boheme in Paris, Frederic Pirates of Penzance with Carla Rosa in Ireland and Britain. His concert engagements across the UK include nationwide tours of Viennese arias and duets as well as Italian songs and arias with the highly successful Locrian Ensemble.
Since joining the teaching staff in 2008 Tim's students have had repeated success winning the Kathleen Ferrier Competition, the Royal Over-Seas League, the Handel Singing Competition and The Grange Festival International Singing Competition. His pupils regularly achieve representation with major opera agents, gaining places at Opera Schools and the National Opera Studio. Many have gone on to become principle singers and young artists, (some directly from undergraduate) at International Opera Houses including Paris, Cologne, Munich, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Strasbourg, Glyndebourne, Royal Opera, and all the National Opera Houses in the UK.
