Natalie Murray Beale was a BBC Performing Arts Fellow #32onestowatch and was selected by The Dallas Opera for their inaugural Institute for Women Conductors.

Murray Beale has performed as Guest Conductor with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, Royal Northern Sinfonia, BBC Concert Orchestra, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Brighton Philharmonic, Malta Philharmonic and the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa. She has also worked with the orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Luxembourg Philharmonic, Royal Swedish Opera and Bergen Philharmonic. Murray Beale has conducted operas for the Croatian National Theatre, Theater Bonn, Opera Holland Park, Opera Queensland, Tête à tête and Spitalfields Music Festival.

Accolades include a 2012 RPS Award for the new opera We Are Shadows and a BAFTA nomination for the video game score Alien:Isolation. 

Murray Beale trained as a pianist and began her career at Welsh National Opera and Glyndebourne. She was awarded a conducting scholarship by London Symphony Chorus and became a Guest Director, collaborating with Valery Gergiev, Xian Zhang, Marin Alsop, Daniele Gatti and Sir Colin Davis. Assistant Conductor engagements followed at Opéra National de Paris, Festival d’Aix, Théâtre des Champs-Elysees and the Wiener Festwochen where she worked closely with Esa-Pekka Salonen, Ingo Metzmacher and Jérémie Rhorer.

Born in Australia, Murray Beale trained at Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She furthered her training at the National Opera Studio and with Finnish conductor, Jorma Panula.

Murray Beale is Creative Director of Independent Opera at Sadler's Wells, a company which supports emerging talent and the creation of new works.
