Cellist Laura van der Heijden has seen her career soar since winning the BBC Young Musician competition in 2012 as a student at the RCM Junior Department.
Her recent accomplishments include concerto performances with the London Philharmonic, Aurora and Scottish Chamber orchestras, along with solo and chamber recitals at the BBC Proms, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall and the Cheltenham Music Festival. Laura has collaborated with celebrated conductors including the late Sir Andrew Davis, Alpesh Chauhan, and Nick Collon. With an expanding discography, her debut album released in 2022 received critical acclaim.
