Master of Music in Performance (MMus)
Pablo is a Master of Music in Performance graduate from the Royal College of Music, a horn player-turned conductor, semi-finalist at the Maestro Solti International Conducting Competition, Principal Conductor of Orchestra Vitae and charity ambassador.
Pablo studied French horn and conducting at the RCM with Peter Stark, John Ryan, Tim Jones, Sue Dent, Jeff Bryant and Simon Rayner. He founded and led a student orchestra and was President of the RCM Students’ Union, experiences which set him on the path to professional conducting.
"Even though I was studying French horn at the RCM, I was very determined to pursue conducting; the Brass Faculty was very supportive and I transitioned into conducting whilst studying. As part of my desire to learn about management, I successfully campaigned to become Students' Union President, which was an incredible experience. By founding the RCM Film Orchestra, I was able to start my conducting career."
Pablo is currently Principal Conductor of Orchestra Vitae in London having previously been Assistant Conductor of the Balearic Symphony Orchestra in Spain. He has assisted world-renowned conductors including Leonard Slatkin, Bernard Haitink, Lionel Bringuier, Christian Zacharias and Joshua Weilerstein. In 2017, Pablo was a semi-finalist at the Maestro Solti International Conducting Competition. He is an Ambassador of The Amber Trust UK, an organisation that provides music tuition and support to blind and partially sighted children.
