The RCM is looking to appoint a Concert & Venue Manager in a vital role in the Performance and Programming team. Performance and Programming is responsible for planning and organising all concerts at the RCM, from solo recitals through to full Symphony Orchestra concerts. The successful applicant will be joining a highly creative team in an exciting working environment, and will work closely with students, professors and visiting conductors. The RCM has one of the richest and busiest performance programmes of any conservatoire and the Concert & Venue Manager will be responsible for planning the set-up of spaces for rehearsals and concerts and managing all concerts performed by orchestras and large ensembles.
Duties will include regular liaison with many internal and external contacts to ensure the effective planning of concerts and events including working closely with the Venue Hire team on external performances. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of orchestral set-ups and practical experience of stage-managing large concerts. The role requires an ability to work proactively, flexibly and creatively on a variety of different tasks and we are looking for someone with a high level of attention to detail and communication skills.
