The Royal College of Music’s international community of staff and students makes it an exciting and diverse hub of musical activity. We have a long tradition of welcoming students from all over the world, in particular from our European neighbours. More than 20% of RCM students come from EU countries, studying at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The RCM is widely recognised as a world-class institution. We were ranked top conservatoire for performing arts in the UK and Europe and second in the world in the 2017 QS World University Rankings.

The UK's departure from the EU

As the process of the UK's departure from the European Union unfolds, the Royal College of Music will continue to provide updates for current and prospective EU students and those studying on the Erasmus scheme. We are pleased to confirm that EU students applying for entry in 2017 and 2018 will be eligible for home fee status and to apply for UK student loans and grants.
