A hardback facsimile reproduction of one of the most significant manuscripts of early 16th-century music in Britain. Contains 39 Latin motets and 3 French chansons by Franco-Flemish composers including Josquin Desprez. An inscription tantalisingly reads 'Mistress ABolleyne nowe thus', suggesting the original choir book was gifted to and owned by Anne Boleyn during her formative years in the French court. Reproduced from the original – one of the most treasured items in the RCM Collections (MS 1070).
