Named 'outstanding representative of the young pianist-generation' by Zoltan Kocsis, Hungarian pianist Tihamér Hlavacsek is a PhD student at the Royal College of Music London. He is an RCM Studentship Holder, supported by the Royal College of Music.

Tihamér made his New York debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall in 2003 and performed in major venues across Europe, USA and Asia. He was awarded 'Outstanding Young Artist of the Year' by Gramofon (Budapest) in 2006 for his World Premiere recording cycle of the complete piano works of Karl Goldmark (Hungaroton Classics). His doctoral studies explore the forgotten piano music of Karl Goldmark.
