Geoff Boynton

After leaving Chetham’s School of Music Geoff studied at the Royal College of Music from 1987-92 studying with Michael Skinner, Kevin Hathway and Janos Keszei. Since then, he has been working as a freelance percussionist performing and recording with many of the UK's professional orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and City of London Sinfonia. He also regularly works with Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet. Along with the orchestral work he has also played in a variety of London's West End shows such as Phantom of the Opera, 42nd Street, Les Miserables and Miss Saigon.
 
In 1999 he began teaching at Haileybury College and Sevenoaks School with pupils ranging from beginner to post-Grade 8 levels and in February 2016 he started working at The Latymer School, Edmonton.
