Spring Season - on sale!

Wednesday 9 December 2015

We’re delighted to announce that our Spring Season 2016 is now on sale, with over 100 varied events to look forward to.

A highlight of our year will be welcoming Steve Reich to the RCM in March for a celebration of his distinguished career in his 80th birthday year, and recognising his outstanding contribution to international musical life with the award of an RCM honorary doctorate.

We will also be marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Henri Dutilleux with a day of performances, including his captivating Symphony no 2 conducted by celebrated RCM alumnus John Wilson.

Grammy award-winning singer Jonathan Lemalu, world-famous trumpeters Håkan Hardenberger and Matthias Höfs and legendary pianist Sir András Schiff will all be visiting us to work with outstanding RCM musicians in our spring masterclass series.

In addition, we look forward to the return of our popular Orchestral Masterworks series, which this season includes Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto no 3 and Dvořák’s New World Symphony; festivals showcasing the harp and Spanish keyboard music; and an exciting series of Women in Music events to mark International Women’s Day.
