A Celebration of Percussion!

Thursday 27 June 2013

On Sunday 7 July, the leading lights of the percussion world will once again be flocking to the RCM for our annual Festival of Percussion.

This year’s stellar line-up includes Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, legendary be-bop drummer John Riley (who will be performing with the RCM Big Band), versatile multi-instrumentalist Pete Lockett, top session drummer Geoff Dugmore, RLPO percussion section leader Graham Johns, the Royal Marines Corps of Drums, virtuoso marimbists O Duo, and timpanists and percussionists from the BBC Symphony Orchestra. As usual, the day will also include a fantastic Junior Showcase of the best young percussion groups from around the country, and the RCM Trade Fair, offering up special deals exclusive to attenders.

In a new departure, attenders will also have the incredible opportunity to get FREE taster lessons from RCM professors. These sessions – covering Latin, orchestral and jazz – can be booked on the day itself.

Tickets are just £5 for students and children, and £20 for adults. For full details see the RCM PercFest website.
