Royal College of Music, ABRSM and the Royal Schools of Music launch new joint website for China

Wednesday 28 June 2017

The Royal College of Music, in partnership with ABRSM and the Royal Schools of Music, has collaborated on a new website promoting the UK as a destination for excellence in music education.

The member conservatoires – the Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Royal Northern College of Music – are recognised nationally and internationally for the quality of their musical training. Likewise, the assessments offered by ABRSM are highly regarded and used as markers of achievement all over the world.

The new joint website will act as an indispensable guide for prospective students and teachers, helping to distinguish the offering of each of the Royal Schools of Music.

RCM Director, Professor Colin Lawson CBE, commented; ‘We are proud of our student body’s diversity. This new website will help us reach even more gifted young musicians in China and demonstrate that the RCM and the UK offers some of the best music education anywhere in the world’.

By joining forces in this distinctive collaboration, the RCM and its partners celebrate their shared belief in the importance of quality education and the transformative power of music. Together we celebrate and encourage music-making from early years to the highest levels of performance.
