Jana Boušková
Jana Boušková is a world-renowned harpist. Regularly praised by reviewers for her technique, sensitivity and power of expression, Boušková has been described by acclaimed American musician Susann McDonald as a talent of the century. Together with her professor and mother, Libuše Váchalová, Boušková has discovered and created adaptations of distinguished compositions of Czech composers such as Smetana, Dvorák and Suk, which have enriched the harp repertoire.
As well as engagements and collaboration with leading orchestras, she Boušková devotes herself to chamber music, working with such musicians as Maxim Vengerov, Mstislav Rostropovitch, Christian Tetzlaff, Yury Bashmet, Radek Baborák, Josef Špacek, Emmanuel Pahud, Mathieu Defour, Patrick Gallois, Jirí Bárta, Sharon Kam, Janne Thomsen, Michal Kanka, Václav Petr, Lukáš Klánský and others.
