Martin Field

ARAM

Martin Field graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with an honours degree and was later awarded an ARAM. Whilst at the Royal Academy, Martin studied under John Orford, Robin O’Neil, Martin Gatt and David Chatterton. He was offered the position of principal contra bassoonist at the Hallé Orchestra in 1995. Martin regularly guests with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Martin is currently the principal contra bassoonist at the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
