"Recent years have brought some excellent productions to the Britten Theatre... this sharp thoughtful production revealed a rich seam of dramatic and musical talent" - Anna Picard, The Independent on Sunday on L'incoronazione di Poppea, 2006/7 Season

The Royal College of Music's Opera School provides intensive training for postgraduate singers and is reputed to be amongst the best in the international conservatoire world. Its two-year specialist course focuses on each singer's individual development with a timetable of classes designed to cultivate fully rounded performers. All students perform in three fully staged operas each year in addition to a number of opera scenes.

Recent graduates of the RCM International Opera School include; baritone Jonathan Lemalu, who has a recording contract with EMI and appears regularly with the Royal Opera House and English National Opera, Andrew KenedyElizabeth Watts and Jacques Imbrailo who won the Song Prize and Audience Prize respectively at the 2007 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World.

The success the Opera School enjoys would not be possible without the support of individual and corporate sponsors, and we are able to offer bespoke sponsorship packages for individual performances, or for a full production inclusive of excellent visibility and hospitality. Sponsorship provides a yearlong relationship with the RCM, and opportunities range from £3,000 to £60,000.
