Volunteering opportunities
We aim to make sure all our volunteers are welcomed, respected and given chances to develop their knowledge, skills and experience. We are offering volunteer roles in the following areas:
Outreach activities and audience engagement
As an activity volunteer you could be involved in a range of experiences such as joining us at off-site events, assisting in delivering workshops for all ages, or becoming a Museum storyteller.

Internships & placements
As part of the current project to redevelop the Royal College of Music Museum, we are able to offer rare opportunities to share our journey with anyone looking to gain knowledge and experience in the Museum sector. Thanks to an award from the Heritage Lottery Fund we are able to offer a number of unpaid placements and paid internships.
We are planning to offer opportunities in digitisation, conservation and museum studies as follows. All roles will follow a formal application and recruitment process, with an interview stage. More information will be provided when applications open.
