Box Office and Ticketing Information
Many events at the RCM are free of charge but may require a ticket. Please check individual listings for events requiring tickets. The following information applies to all events where tickets are required.
How to Book
The Box Office located in the Inner Hall is open weekdays 10.00am – 4.00pm and for up to one hour before any given event.

Please note, there is a £1.95 booking fee per transaction for online and telephone bookings. This fee has been introduced to assist us in providing the highest levels of training and performance opportunities for our students. The fee includes first class postage.
Concessionary rates are not generally applicable to RCM events. This reflects the subsidisy already accounted for in the pricing structure. Where concessionary rates are available it applies to recipients of Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, Pension Credit, ages 16 and under and full-time students. Appropriate documentation must be shown. Please note discounts cannot be combined.
Group bookings of 10 or more receive a 10% discount where applicable. Maximum group booking size is 33. School parties must be chaperoned at all times by school staff.
Tickets for all events will be posted unless otherwise agreed with the Box Office at the time of booking. Tickets are generally sent out within 3 working days of sale.
Tickets for events ordered within 5 days of the performance will be held at the Box Office for collection. All non-UK address ticket sales are held for collection.
Tickets can be collected up to one hour before the event or previously during regular opening hours. They should be collected by the card holder and the card used to make the booking must be produced.
Frequently Asked Questions
Ticket Return and Exchange
Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless a performance is cancelled. Whereby a performance is sold out and demand suggests that the ticket(s) can be resold a refund may be available. This service is offered to the original purchaser of the tickets only.
Should duplicates tickets be needed, please contact the Box Office on 020 7591 4314. Duplicate tickets cannot be sent out in advance and must be collected in person up to one hour before a performance.
Change of Programme/Event
We will endeavour to contact you if there is a major change to your chosen performance by email, letter or telephone. Sufficient contact details must be supplied at the point of sale.
Latecomers and Re-Admission
To ensure that other audience members are not disturbed, latecomers' admission cannot be guaranteed; although it is offered whenever possible, this service may not be available.
RCM Public Recording Policy
The Royal College of Music or permitted third parties may carry out filming and sound recording in or about the RCM. Recordings may be used for selected purposes including teaching, research and promotional use. By attending an event you consent to filming, photography and sound recording which may include you as a member of the audience, and its use for any purposes in private and commercial distribution without payment or copyright. Wherever possible, tickets and signage in the building will state whether events will be filmed.
