EU Students at the RCM
European Union Referendum
Following the outcome of the recent EU referendum, the Royal College of Music will continue to provide updates for current and prospective EU students and those studying on the Erasmus scheme.
The Royal College of Music is committed to continuing to play a central role in European music education. We are recognised as a world-class conservatoire and our international community is a major contributor to this. The diversity of our students and staff from all over the world is something of which we are extremely proud. They bring us exceptional talent, creativity and inspiration. We greatly value the international and European collaborations we have had for many years and hope that they will continue long into the future.
We will continue to update this information with further details as they emerge.
The UK Government has announced that EU students applying for 2017 entry will be eligible to apply for student loans and grants for the duration of their course. This means that students applying to study at the RCM in September 2017 will be eligible to apply for the same funding and support as current EU students and this eligibility will continue throughout their course, even if the UK exits the European Union during that period.
