International qualifications sufficient for university entry in your own country. Please see the List of International Qualifications for details of international qualifications that are commonly accepted by the RCM as being of equivalent standard to our UK entry requirements. This list is not exhaustive and other qualifications will be considered. The RCM will verify the level of your qualification using the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC).
|The RCM regrets that it is unable to offer the Gap Year Experience programme to students who require a Tier 4 Student Visa to study in the UK as the course is not compatible with the application criteria for that visa.|
Most applicants to the RCM will study Music as part of their academic qualification(s). If you are choosing your subjects now, we advise that you choose Music if possible. However, if Music is not available to you, we recommend that you undertake studies to equip you with an appropriate level of musical knowledge, theory and literacy.
Students Transferring from Other Institutions
BMus students wishing to enter Year 2 or 3 of the Undergraduate Programme will be required to provide full transcripts from their current university or conservatoire to demonstrate that they have successfully completed studies equivalent to the first year(s) of the BMus programme.
