Applying for the Artist Diploma

  • To apply for entry to the Artist Diploma Programmes in Opera, Performance and Composition in you will need to use the UCAS Conservatoires application. Find out more about Applying through UCAS Conservatoires

  • We accept a wide range of UK and international qualifications for admission. See Entry Requirements for more details
  • If your first language is not English, you must achieve a satisfactory standard in an approved test in English. See details of commonly used tests and permitted scores

Application Dates

  • You can submit your application for entry in UCAS Conservatoires from July 
  • We are sometimes able to accept late applications through UCAS Conservatoires if places still exist. Please contact the RCM directly for advice on late applications
  • The deadlines for International Auditions vary, visit our pages for Asia and USA for details

Auditions

  • The RCM holds auditions in London, the USA and Asia
  • Most auditions will be held in London between late November and mid December
  • Auditions in Asia will be held between November and January
  • Auditions in USA will be held in January
  • The RCM charges an administration fee for auditioning candidates. UCAS Conservatoires also charges a one-off registration fee of £20
