We like to keep in touch with our alumni with the latest news from the RCM. If you don’t already receive alumni communications but would like to, you can let us know by filling out our online form or by emailing us.
The RCM also produces a termly magazine, Upbeat, which is packed with news, interviews as well as stories from current students and other alumni.

Discounted use of RCM Venues
A special 10% discount on hire of our new performance and atmospheric events spaces is available to RCM alumni (from 2021 and subject to availability). To find out more, please visit our venue hire website or contact our Events and Venue Hire Team.
Discounted use of the RCM Studios
A generous discount on selected studio use is available to RCM graduates for up to 12 months after leaving the RCM. Please note that the following figures exclude VAT, which is charged at the prevailing rate.
Audio recording in Belle Shenkman Studio with engineer:
- Alumni rate: £90 per hour
- (Full rate: £110 per hour)
Single-camera video recording in Belle Shenkman Studio with engineer:
- Alumni rate: £100 per hour
- (Full rate: £140 per hour)
Audio editing/mixing:
- Full rate only: £70 per hour
Video editing:
- Alumni rate: £80 per hour
- (Full rate: £108 per hour)
Piano tuning in advance of session:
- Full rate only: £130 per hour
Piano tuner in attendence throughout session:

Alumni are welcome to use the RCM Library facilities for reference. Alumni can access the library by signing in as a visitor on arrival at the main foyer.

Free online Will-writing service
We are delighted to offer a free online Will-writing service through Bequeathed (registered with the Fundraising Regulator). Bequeathed offers Royal College of Music alumni and supporters in England and Wales the special opportunity to make their Will free of charge with the help of a step-by-step questionnaire. Most people who use Bequeathed will leave a gift to the RCM, however large or small, although this is by no means a condition of using the service.
