The Full English

Tuesday 16 July 2013

The RCM Junior Department Chamber Choir has given a presentation as part of the English Folk Dance and Song Society’s The Full English Discovery Day.

This unique concert performance took place on Saturday 13 July at the British Library Conference Centre. The RCMJD Chamber Choir sang new works written as part of the Living Song project, which encourages young composers to learn traditional English folk song from source recordings and contemporary folk singers, and then develop their own arrangements for the choir.

The event was run in partnership with the English Folk Dance and Song Society, the national folk arts development organisation for England, as part of their The Full English project: a ground-breaking nationwide digital archive and learning project of early 20th century English folk arts.
