Success in Serbia

RCM pianist Kumi Matsuo was awarded 1st Prize and the coveted title of Competition Laureate at the finals of the 6th Isidor Bajic Piano Memorial Competition, which took place in Novi Sad, Serbia on Monday 19 March. Kumi triumphed with a wonderful performance of Prokofiev's 3rd Piano Concerto with the Romanian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Fellow RCM pianist Sean Jackson won the Special Award for a performance of works by Debussy in the finals of the younger category of the competition.
