Raising & Giving Week 2013

Monday 4 February 2013

The week of 4-8 February 2013 is RCM RAG Week 2013 - a full week of events organised by the RCM Students’ Association in which the students raise money for a selected charity.

This year the charity selected by students is the Parkinson’s Movement for the Cure Parkinson’s Trust.  The Parkinson’s Movement was an initiative set up by three medical writers and scientists who all suffer from Parkinson’s Disease, and is unique in that the founders all have the scientific and personal insight into the condition. They are currently trying to funding a huge clinical trial that promises to reverse the effects of the condition – something that could change lives and families.

The RCM Hardship Fund came in a close second for the choice of charity, illustrating the students' care for student struggles and their wish to support each other when possible.

Just some of the varied RAG events going on throughout this week include a Cheese and Wine Soiree on Tuesday, a Salsa Lesson and Pub Quiz on Thursday, and an Around the World Party on Friday. Good luck to the RCM students with this great week of charitable work.
