Success for RCM Graduates

Friday 3 July 2015

According to data published on 2 July by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), students from the Royal College of Music are more likely to find employment than those of any other UK conservatoire.

Out of RCM alumni who graduated in 2014, 100% of those who responded to the survey reported that they had moved into employment or further study six months after graduating. This great result places the RCM at the very top of the HESA’s league table, which included not just UK conservatoires, but all UK universities.

RCM Director Professor Colin Lawson commented: “This fantastic result reinforces the RCM’s position as a world leader when it comes to preparing students for the workplace. Thanks to the exceptionally high standard of teaching, the wide ranging performance and networking opportunities and many services offered by our careers service, the RCM Creative Careers Centre, every year more and more RCM graduates are building successful careers within the music profession.”
