Success for Consort Audite Nova

Monday 30 April 2012

"Consort Audite Nova" - consisting of RCM students Mary-Jannet Leith, Elspeth Robertson, Ben Cracknell and recent RCM graduate Isobel Clarke - won joint First Prize in the Sir Anthony Lewis Memorial Prize Competition at the Royal Academy of Music on Tuesday 3rd April, 2012.

The competition is held every two years by the Musica Britannica Trust, which publishes the music series Musica Britannica.  The series was founded in 1951 as an authoritative national collection of British music to encourage further exploration and performance of lesser-known and previously unpublished works by pre-twentieth-century British composers.

Consort Audite Nova won a prize of £800, 8 volumes of Musica Britannica and the opportunity to put on 3 recitals at universities around England.
