Wigmore Hall Success for RCM Singer

Monday 24 October 2011

Mezzo-soprano Anna Huntley has been awarded the Wigmore Hall / Independent Opera Voice Fellowship following her participation in the biennial Wigmore Hall / Kohn Foundation International Song Competition.

Anna will receive £10,000 and will be given guidance and support from Wigmore Hall mentors over the next two years, as well as a potential recital at the Wigmore Hall itself at the end of the period.

Anna recently graduated from the Benjamin Britten International Opera School, where she was supported by the Sir Jack Ackroyd Award and Sir Thomas Allen Scholarship. During her time at the RCM, Anna appeared as Hermia in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Ramiro in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera.

Congratulations to her from all at the RCM.
